Artist's Description

This is the same deer as in the photo titled "Mule Deer in the Snow". Shortly after the first photo was taken, the deer stretched his neck forward and curled his upper lip (Flehmen Response) which helps him to detect scents. The word "flehmen" in German means "to curl one's lip". www.MarilynBurtonPhotography.com Item # MD08
